It's momentous. This is the first (incredibly daunting) post on our wee blog.
We are sisters, Danielle and Lauren, not twins but so scarily alike that sometimes it worries even us. There are five years between us, but we'll leave you to work out who's older and who's younger. We like to make stuff. Mostly we use fabric or paper and scissors, thread, and glue, but sometimes we use whatever we can lay our hands on.
We each do what we're best at. In Lauren's case, that's drafting super cool t-shirt patterns, being very good at things like invisible zips, making very cute little thingies, and impressing you all with her mad sewing skillz. In Danielle's case, it's making weird drawings, cutting up pieces of paper and gluing them back together, tweaking with the blog, and combining several pieces of junk to make something interesting.
We have a shop. It's where we sell stuff like the aforementioned cool t-shirts, hand-bound journals, quirky things made out of quirky fabrics, papery stationery goodness, and toys you know you want to buy for your fat little niece. You can find the shop here, but we warn you: there's not a lot to see yet. It's all going to be happening early next year.
We have a blog. But you should know that already. You're reading it. Here you'll find news of upcoming projects, shop updates, and other bloggy sorts of delights.
We have an imaginary friend. Her name is JanieLou and she's about eleven years old. You'll be seeing lots of her around the traps.
P.S. Oh, and soon we'll have a real photo here so you can see that Lauren is, in fact, much cuter in real life than the drawing would show her to be, and Danielle is not in reality an attractive Asian woman but a fairly ordinary Caucasian woman.
